8 minutes

Everyone's making resolutions for the new year, and though I thought about doing that myself, I never quite got around to it.

Guess I should have resolved to deal with my procrastination problem.

Anyway, because my belly jiggles and my muffin top is impacting my clothing choices, I have decided it's time to get serious.
Getting back into my gym routine will be helpful, but then there are the weekends and holidays and this, that, and the other reasons the keep me from a workout.

So today, January 8th, I resolve to spend 8 minutes of each day, for the next 6 months, doing an ab workout. Specifically the "8-minute Abs" workout popular in the 90's.

Sometimes it takes me a decade or 3 to catch up with the rest of fashionable America.

I'm pledging only to 6 months, because if I haven't seen any results by then, I reserve the right to change my plan.

Surely out of the 1,440 minutes in each day I can find 8 to do some crunching. And to keep myself honest, I have to think up a motivator to help me follow through with the plan. I tend to work better with consequences rather than rewards.

The first idea that popped into my head was that I if I missed a day I would have to post my current weight for the world to see. But that's just too terrible and I cannot agree to it.
Ideas, anyone?

Oh, and Taylor has already agreed to join me, so if you want to join in our endeavour to strengthen our cores and mitigate our muffin-tops, you are welcome too!
Just shoot me an e-mail if you need the 8-minute breakdown.

Here's to a flat belly by July!

Woo Hoo! Goodbye muffin tops! I will not do this though from Feb 20-27, as I will be in Cancun.

humm... tempting. I might be in. 8 minutes? I could pack in 150 crunches or just 10 if I time it right.

Consequence? Let's say 3 strikes and you have to post a picture of said flabby belly.

I'm rethinking. I might be out.

Oh, I'll join too! Although, when am I allowed to do some serious ab work? May I consult you as my medical professional?
