Things that make you go hmmmm.

Not sure why this method of street-naming was chosen by this fine town, but it's actually really darn confusing. Here we are at the intersection of north tenth east street and east tenth north street. Hmmmmm.

Now We're Moving!

Well he's not breaking any land speed records yet, but after 10 months of careful consideration Derek has decided to crawl. Mommy liked him better immobile ;)

Trouble-Maker

The thing I like most about this clip is the very matter-of-fact way that Alex tells me whats going on :)

Potpourri

That crazy kid is always working himself into odd positions One last picture with Dana before taking her to the airport

Here is a clip of Alex dancing at the Tops in Blue concert

Ignore the scratch on his forehead & squash on his face and focus on that tiny white thing coming from his bottom gum. Finally, at 10 months, a tooth has poked through! It's partner is following closely behind.(You may have to click onthe picture to make it bigger)

Here is the scene at the market in Boise. They sell fresh flowers, fruits & veggies, breads, and miscellaneous art work. It was neat to see, but difficult to navigate the crowds with the stroller. Next time we're wearing bathing suits to play in the fountain with all of the kids!

Thanks Dana!

Dana is my friend from college...we lived together for 3 years, did ROTC together, AND were in the nursing school together. That's a lot of togetherness! Thankfully we survived and are still friends :) She came out for a week-long visit to help me out with the kiddos.

We're not actually at a gay pride parade, we're just enjoying the Boise River way out near Prairie, Idaho.

Here are some pics of what Dana did while she was here:

Watched the kids so Josh and I could webcam together in private. Don't worry, it was G-rated. Well, maybe PG :)

Strapped on a baby! Derek was a big flirt with Dana.
Dressed Alex for the day. Okay, Alex actually did this one herself.
Accidentally took black and white photos at the pool.
To add more to the list, Dana also cooked some amazing meals, helped me clean out my closet, cleaned up around the house, helped me get some shopping done... Our other college housemates are now wondering if this is the same girl we lived with :)

Thanks so much Dana, it was fun!

Back in Buisness

Yea, our computer is back!! It was fixed today, and thankfully still under warranty :) It was a long 3 days without it....what an addict I am.

Today Dana and I had did our own photo shoot with one of my favorite subjects-- Derek Joshua! He was a good sport & we got some fun pictures. Then we played around with the photo software for the final touches. Here's the cutest little wolverine...

More Bouncy Fun

A few to get by on

Poor Daddy is missing his daily dose of pictures from home, so we're using Dana's camera & computer for a quick fix. Keep your fingers crossed that our computer gets fixed fast because Mommy doesn't know how to exist without it!

Technical Difficulties

Well, everyone's told me that when your husband deploys things at home start to break and fall apart. Today the computer won't turn on. We're waiting on parts and a service call to get back online again. Not sure how long it will take; for now I'm using my friend's laptop until she leaves next week. So that's why you wont see any updates for a bit. I'll update when I get a chance!

Bounce!

A deployment gift from Daddy! Josh declined to build a swingset so we went for a more portable and assembly-free toy for out back.

A little thief

Derek needs to work on his friend-making skills. Here he is with his pal (for now) Ayden.

Sorry Daddy, but if it isn't her idea she's not going to do it!

Pizza Smells Like Jesus

Today for lunch Alex was having leftover pizza. Since I am still on a dairy-free diet for our allergic little boy, having to prepare Alex's cheesy foods can be torture. As I was carrying the re-heated pizza over to her, I sniffed it and said "Mmmmm, this smells like heaven." Alex then took the plate, gave it a big sniff and said "Smells like heaven, mmmmmm. Smells like Jesus."
I just love those moments when my kids make me laugh out loud :)
