Day 22

The reason why I'm not on my regular bloggy schedule:

You have no idea the volume level around here.
One six year old with a funny face, an almost-five-year-old, one 4 year old who needs a haircut, one 3 year old, and an 8 month old.

One word-- LOUD.

Derek, with his August birthday, is supposed to be in the same kindergarten class as Drew, who has an October birthday. (And who also happens to be in the 90th percentile for height.) They don't exactly look like they belong in a classroom together, do they?

Here is a picture of all the kiddos who were in existence when we went to Yellowstone together back in the olden days. They were babies!

Children are running wild, so I'm just going to close with a few pictures from the past couple days.

Alex ready for college:

Teddy was not permitted to join us.

She tackled some math problems that looked quite intimidating to her. She was so proud when she was able to do them all. She insisted on a picture to show daddy.

On Monday, Derek and I went to "Mother-Son Date Knight" at Chick-fil-A.

I heart Chick-fil-A. Not only was it the sight of a rather hilarious Pat the Bunny incident, but they also have the best fast food around, and they are very pro-family. They host special events like this frequently.

Derek and I were seated at a table for two, complete with a tablecloth and knight's shield for Derek to color.

Mimi the clown was doing face painting and balloon creations. Derek did not want his face painted, but he was a big fan of his balloon sword, belt, and helmet.

The sword popped in the parking lot and there was much weeping and wailing.

I loved having a little bit of one-on-one time with my little man.
But for now, it's back to the chaos! Wish me luck ;)

Wow, what do they feed Derek? They must feed him lots of "sprouts" because he sure did sprout up didn't he? You have a cool Chick-fil-a, I don't think ours does that in these parts! A few times a year ours will give out a free chicken sandwich if your willing to show up for it in a cow outfit. I've never gotten the free meal...I'm just chicken like that.

Corie, the french fries aren't cooked in peanut oil anymore, and he can eat the grilled chicken.
